Sleep, Lots Of Sleep

Monday, October 8th, 2007

This weekend was slower than slow. I didn’t do that much but like the name of the post implies I did get a lot of sleep. Nothing wrong with that, right?.

On Saturday I got up at 2PM, took a shower and then tried to relax the rest of the day. I played a game of scrabble with my sister, brother and his girlfriend, I didn’t win and I don’t want to talk about it anymore. Then at about 11PM I got online and surfed the web until about 5AM and then went to bed. On to something else, I am not happy with my team, they managed a tie with the Kansas City Wizard on Friday. Come on guys you have to do better than that if you want that Supporters Shield, the shield is given to the team with the best record in the league. With a 16-6-6 and 54 points and only 2 more games to go in the season they better play better that that.

On Sunday I got up at 2PM again, got some chocolate cake and some milk and checked what was on TV. I caught the last hour of “Hidalgo” and then went and got a haircut. I didn’t pay anything because I did it myself and saved whatever it is you pay for a haircut nowadays, looks good too. I watched “I, Robot”, a very good movie and went to bed at about 11PM. Now on to a topic dear to my heart, as you all know I collect comic books and one of my favorites happens to be Iron-Man. When I saw the trailer it blew me away, the part when he is flying flanked by 2 F-22 raptors……………….you just have to see it. Check the link below and see what I mean.

48 Hours Not Enough

Monday, October 1st, 2007

This weekend was ok, nothing much happened. I sure don’t feel like going to work but I have to. It is not that I don’t like my job, is not that at all, I just don’t feel like going.

On Saturday I got up late again and spent the rest of the day doing nothing and I do mean nothing. I even missed the game between the DC United and the Toronto FC, the final score was 4-1 in favor of my team of course. Still the best in the league with a record of 16-6-5 and 53 points, I smell another championship. I then tried to go to sleep but again I couldn’t.

On Sunday I couldn’t sleep so I was up all night until about 4:30AM, I decided to go to bed but then I remember that I have been wanting to play “Resident Evil 4″ for a while so that is what I did until about 6AM. It had been a while since I played but I was happy with the results. Went to bed and then got up at about 3PM and by then it was too late to do everything I wanted to do so I had to settle for 2 laundry loads. I then sat down in front of the TV for the rest of the day. Another weekend over and in the record books.

330 Points

Monday, September 24th, 2007

The weekend was a lot of fun, the only bad thing about it is that it only lasted two days.

Saturday I got up late, nothing new about that. I relaxed for a while and then sat down to watch some movies. I ended up watching 2 movies, “World Trade Center” “Kindergarten Cop” and I about half of “The 13th Warrior”. It’d been a while since I’d watched that many movies in a row but it felt good to just sit down a watch them. At night I got to play Scrabble with my brother and his girlfriend, my final score was a lousy 116. Hey, the last time I played was in 2001 so I was a bit rusty.

Sunday I got up early to get ready to watch the game. That four time champion DC United vs the Chicago Fire. The game ended in a 1-1 tie and that didn’t sit to well with me. I know the team was missing 3 starters but that is not an excuse whatsoever. We should’ve won that game. Enough about that. Come night time it was time for ,you guessed it, Scrabble round 2. This time around my sister was invited to play and of the five games we played I won 2 games. My high score for the night was 330 points. Played a bit better but still not happy about it but I will be ready for next weekend. I then watched some TV and then went to bed and that was the end of the weekend. Don’t forget to make this week a very productive one, you know I will.

What A Short Weekend

Monday, September 17th, 2007

This weekend was slow. I know it’s time to get back to work, I wish it was a four day weekend but it’s not. One good thing about the weekend was that it wasn’t that hot, it was nice and that is the way I like it.

Saturday I got up late, took a shower and relaxed. I watched the game between the Chicago Fire and the New York Red Bulls, a good game. The final score was a 2-2 tie. To end the day I watched ‘Dawn Of The Dead’. I liked this movie when it first came out and obviously I still do. And just like that Saturday was over.

Sunday I got up early and decided to do some laundry and take it easy the rest of the day. I watched the game between Chivas USA and the Colorado Rapids. After some delays due to thunder the game ended in a 1-1 tie. My team that four time champion DC United is the best in the league with a 15-6-4 record and 49 points. I then watched some TV and waited for a call from a friend, we were going to go out but the call never came so I decided to make the best of what was left of my weekend. I watched some more TV and then went to bed. Not a bad Sunday. A note, I just realized that I forgot about the first Investing 101 report of this month. I just don’t know how that happened, this I know I am not forgetting about the next one.

Is The Weekend Over?

Monday, September 10th, 2007

It is Monday and that can only mean one thing that I am painfully aware of, back to work. If you remember last weekend it was hotter than hot, this weekend it wasn’t that bad.

Saturday was truly a slow day, I didn’t do that much. All I did was relax, relax and relax most of the morning which was good. In the afternoon I installed Medieval Total War because I wanted to play that game again so badly and I did for a couple of hours.

Sunday was a mixed day. I got up at about 11:30 AM and got ready to watch the game. The battle for first place in the eastern conference between that four time champion and first place DC United with 43 points and second place New England Revolution with 42 points. The game was very good and in the end United won 4-2 and that leaves my team atop the eastern conference with a league best 14-6-4 record and 46 points. Then I went to Hollywood with my friend. We met at the Vermont/Wilshire station and took the metro to the Hollywood/Vine station. We then walked heading west on Hollywood Blvd checking stores, I was really looking for a hat but didn’t find one I liked. When we reached Hollywood and Highland we went to the H&H Center which is a retail and entertainment place. We checked some stores, and then had dinner. After dinner we headed east on Hollywood Blvd checking stores all the way back to the Hollywood/Vine station. Went back home, watched TV and then went to bed. And that was pretty much how Sunday went. This much I can tell you, I can’t wait for the next weekend.
