In The News

Friday, December 28th, 2007

Apple iTunesWelcome to the last In The News post of the year. It has been a long, long year for news and you know that I have done my best to cover the most interesting and funniest. There is enough bad news to go around everyday and my goal has always been to make you laugh and help you forget about them even if only for a few minutes. So get ready for the weekend and enjoy it as much as I am enjoying my eleven day weekend. But before that happens remember to read In The News and don’t forget to tell you friends about it.

  1. Did you read about that rare “Jenny”? It seems that a rare “Jenny” stamp sold for $825,000 dollars at auction. The 1918, 24 cent stamp depicts an upside down Curtis JN-4 biplane known as “Jenny”.  The mint condition red, white and blue stamp is one of the finest known surviving stamps from the original sheet of 100 misprints. I forgot to bid and you know how I like doing that.
  2. Did you read about the Gap jacket? It seems that the The U.S. Consumer Product Safety Commission and Gap Inc are recalling more than 16,000 boys jackets because a piece attached to waist drawstring poses an “entrapment hazard to children.” The jacket can be returned to any Gap outlet store for a full refund.
  3. Did you read about the most watched movie trailers of 2007? It seems that the list of the 10 most popular movie trailers yahoo users watched the most is out. Here for you are the top five. Number 1, Transformers. Number 2, Spider-Man 3. Number 3, Pirates of the Caribbean: At World’s End. Number 4, Harry Potter and the order of the Phoenix and at number 5, 300. Hope your favorite made list.

Webroot Software Inc.It is finally here, the last investing report of the year before it makes the move over to the new blog this January. The year was great with many ups and many downs as well and that is the way it is when you invest. It is very hard to make money when the market won’t make its mind and what is a guy to do but to roll with the punches and that is exactly what I am doing. The year is almost over and hopefully we’ll end the year with a big bang in the meantime lets check them numbers.

Free Travel QuotesIt is the day after Christmas and I hope you got what you wanted. I did, I got my Sonicare and my scarf………..yeah. That is all I wanted and to top it all of I got an extra present, Guitar Hero 3 for the PS3. I tried to play but I was so bad at it I was booted off stage, I am going to have to train as much as I can but that is ok. Something else to keep me up all night. Ok, lets talk about last week’s video, “You are the Inspiration” by Chicago. This is one of those songs that take you back all the way back. I Have Found A Name, Part 2

Tuesday, December 25th, 2007

BannerFirst of all I want to wish you a Merry Christmas. I hope that you are enjoying this time in the company of family and friends. Don’t forget to let me know if you got what you wanted from Santa, I hope I did because I have been real good all year…………..ok, maybe not all year. Well, it seems that my search for my other new blog has come to an end because I found it. This other blog is going to be a personal blog about my everyday boring life and I think the name reflects that quite nicely, not the boring part the my life part.

On the other hand my search for that much sought after webhost is still going and I better get a move on because the new year is just a week away. If my search fails then I am going to have to stay with my current webhost. Now if only they provided better blog support, are you reading this 1&1?. I have sent them two e-mails asking them some specific blog related questions. I hope they answer me as fast as they can and we’ll take it from there, stay tuned.
