In The News
Friday, September 14th, 2007It is Friday and that can only mean that it’s time for In The News. Winner of no Emmy Awards for outstanding reporting.
- Did you read about the salty burger? It seems than a McDonald’s employee accidentally spilt salt on hamburger meat. After trying to “thump the salt off” with help from a co-worker and supervisor. A burger was sold to a police officer who later returned and told the manager that the burger made him sick. The employee was questioned, arrested and spent the night in jail. I am not going to comment because I don’t want to be arrested.
- Did you read about Led Zeppelin? It seems that Led Zeppelin will be performing for a tribute concert at London’s O2 Arena on November 26 2007. About 20 million fans have tried to get tickets in the process crashing the O2 Arena website. The band broke up in 1980 after the death of drummer John Bonham. The band has sold more than 300 million albums. I own some of those albums, yeah.
- Did you read about the Reventon? No, we are not talking about a party. It seems that Lamborghini introduced the Reventon, named after a bull that killed matador Felix Guzman in 1943, at the Frankfurt international autoshow. Lamborghini sold out in four days the 20 cars it plans to build. The price tag, only $1.4 million dollars each. I am sure I have about $2 million laying around somewhere.
